arking_mark January 3, 2017 Share January 3, 2017 Long story short: - IM 24 developed a leak - Traded coral for the Biocube - Ended up winning an auction for an RSM 130 - Have a near perfect Biocibe 29 doing nothing Options: - Save it for a rainy day as I have no room for another tank - Replace my 20L QT with the Biocube which seems to be a waste for such a nice tank - Trade or sell tank to another WAMAS member - Or another idea? If trade/sell, what is the value? Tank is in perfect condition with the exception of the hood which was gutted of lights in anticipation of retrofitting LEDs. Thanks for your thoughts. treesprite January 3, 2017 Share January 3, 2017 I would stick it away somewhere for future use, unless there is a financial concern.
arking_mark January 3, 2017 Author Share January 3, 2017 No real financial concern, but it does seems a waste of a nice tank just to set it aside. I doubt I would ever use it at this point.
AlanM January 3, 2017 Share January 3, 2017 Sell it with a link to the correct LEDs to fit in the hood if someone wanted to buy them and buy some nice coral. Full circle!
arking_mark January 3, 2017 Author Share January 3, 2017 It is up for sale @90$. Fair price? Too high or too low?
AlanM January 3, 2017 Share January 3, 2017 Seems like a great price to me. Maybe too low, but it should sell fast. They're really nice, and I'd be opening up the hood to install LEDs anyway.
arking_mark January 3, 2017 Author Share January 3, 2017 I traded about 150-200$ worth of coral for it...but would like to see it used for a display tank somewhere. If I get no bites, I'm going to turn it into a QT and sell my current QT setup.
