treesprite November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 Wondering if anyone has any comparison info when it comes to algae and other pest-type growths on natural rock versus fake rock, and perhaps different types of fake rock. Am thinking about it because all the rock in the 12 Aquapod that got dinos, is Life Rock (manufactured "rocks" that are advertized as being infused with bacteria to aid in cycling a new tank). Would be useful to know exactly what composes certain rock types, which might make the rock more or less susceptible to stuff. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AlanM November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 Maybe some of the manufactured rock makes a difference, but in my new tank I have some cerameco and also pukani, fiji, reef saver, and right now it all looks identical.
