Question: How long can I store used salt water?

 

With moving, I'd like to try to save some of my salt water so I'm not completely making up new water when I get down to Norfolk. Can I store it for up to a month or two in sealed HD buckets? Or at that point, should I just suck it up and make it all new?

Just make fresh.

Are you saving the water for the bacteria? As in to jump start the cycle?

Bacteria is primarily on surfaces so water won't help cycle.

 

Just make new water.
