Bbwebb September 29, 2015 September 29, 2015 Just wondering, for those that are running GFO and/or carbon in a reactor, are you running an external reactor like the BRS or one that sits in your sump. I currently run the BRS, but I'm trying to make more room in my cabinet. If you are running one in your sump, which one are you using? Also, how difficult do you find it to clean and refill? I tend to empty mine out about every 2-3 weeks and replace the media. I'm trying to keep it from turning into a larger (and messier) chore. Bill
thakki September 29, 2015 September 29, 2015 Have same question...planning to use phosban reactor...best location?
JeffG93 September 29, 2015 September 29, 2015 I ran an external for about 4 years (BRS.) Now, I don't run GFO or Carbon. Saves me time, money, and my tank is better than ever. Just sayin.'
menglish September 30, 2015 September 30, 2015 I run both carbon and GFO in 2 phosban 150 reactors in the return chamber of my sump. My return chamber is large enough to accommodate both so i put them in there to save on space. Works out fine for me, very easy access to both of them
pizzaguy September 30, 2015 September 30, 2015 I ran my carbon reactor internal in case it ever leaked. I like the avast reactors. I also have tlf 150 reactors that aren't bad either.

s2nhle September 30, 2015 September 30, 2015 I put the pump in the return section and the out put in the return section. I want to filter water before it go back to display.
FirstContact September 30, 2015 September 30, 2015 I have a reactor for GFO; it's a Precision Marine. I basically try to avoid screws. The PMs are twist offs.
