miggs76 September 26, 2015 Share September 26, 2015 I noticed a hairline crack in the body of my skimmer. I'm checking to see if it is still under warranty but in the meantime is this something that is going to affect the performance? If so is it repairable? And how would I go about fixing? Thanks
freshfins September 26, 2015 Share September 26, 2015 (edited) I would use some weld-on 16 to bond the acrylic along the crack. Clamp it together, if possible, while the bond solidifies. Edited September 26, 2015 by freshfins
YHSublime September 27, 2015 Share September 27, 2015 Depends on the cracks location. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Reefer_Madness September 27, 2015 Share September 27, 2015 Dude we can just use some acrylic cement to fix it. I have some you can have. Just clean up the area, let it dry real good and apply some to the outside and inside of the crack. Should be fine. You should probably try and figure out the cause of the crack though (i.e. Vibration, over tightening something, or just old age). Just like any material, cracks don't "just happen". There is always a reason.
