John Ford July 21, 2015 July 21, 2015 "No matter how much I feed the fish I can't even grow alage" Somehow your tank is too clean for the softies to grow would be my guess, if you cant grow algae.
YHSublime July 21, 2015 July 21, 2015 You running anything like GFO, carbon, bio-pellets, vodka/vin dosing? I'm with John, sounds like your water is too clean.
Customride0105 July 21, 2015 Author July 21, 2015 I don't get I've racked my brain.. No carbon no pellets of any type. no addaditaves no chemicals Coral food yes. kalk daily yes. About 2 gallon a day.(pickling lime and my well water) No vodka or vinguar no baking soda No uv I don't add anything but kalk and food. I can't grow chelato I've tryed for me last about a mth and it dies.. My tank consist of about 400 lbs of live rock in the tank and another 150 ish in the sump. My sump houses rock. 1000 watt heater, apex ph probe and temp sensor External protien skimmer. I am in the middle of adding a cal reactor. I have it all set up just waiting on a needle valve.
smallreef July 21, 2015 July 21, 2015 You need more nitrates and phosphates for cheato and most softies... You cannot normally have nice sps and softies in the same tank, they are exclusive of one another... And in prett sure you aren't planning on giving up your sps...
