rain July 12, 2015 July 12, 2015 Hi all - thought I'd share a video of my biocube. Couldn't have gotten to this point without all of you. Loving my new hobby. Thanks WAMAS! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KiosTerpT5A&feature=youtu.be
rain July 12, 2015 Author July 12, 2015 Thanks! I'm sure it will. Lots of trial and error and questions for me...
rain July 15, 2015 Author July 15, 2015 I installed the Steve's LED kit. Still need to install the dimmer but loving the lights so far.
eddiev0008 July 17, 2015 July 17, 2015 Nice . What substrate are u using? I am planning to start a 29 biocube as well this weekend and I was thinking about using black sand, but I been hearing mix reviews as for the light I was going to venture into a mH as I already have an LED setup on my 70 what are u using in your back chambers? Are u close to Gainesville? Would love your input Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rain July 17, 2015 Author July 17, 2015 Thanks! I'm using crushed coral but I wish I had regular sand (nothing wrong with the crushed coral, I just like the look of the sand better). Considering how I might change my substrate but nervous about screwing up the tank. I have the inTank media basket in the back middle chamber with filter floss on top, purigen in the middle and the chemi pure elite on the bottom. Next to that I have some live rock rubble and a small ball of chaeto on top of that with a nano fuge light that goes on at night. I took out the sponge between the middle chamber and chamber 3. Then I swapped out the return for an MJ-900 which is super quiet and doing great. I'm pretty close to Gainesville (just down 234 off Hoadly Rd close to Woodbridge) if you want to come by sometime and compare notes. Good luck!

rain December 25, 2015 Author December 25, 2015 Decluttered a little and did some new aquascaping. I'll try and take a new video soon. Still loving my biocube. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
rain December 26, 2015 Author December 26, 2015 Thanks! Mostly they do except my torch can get grumpy and start stinging things around him. The zoas have finally gotten used to the torch but had to sell off some hammers that were too crowded next to it. Otherwise everything is fairly separated.
GOSKN5 December 26, 2015 December 26, 2015 Really nice!! Only sps is the pink birdsnest? Love all the softies and euphyllias
rain December 26, 2015 Author December 26, 2015 Yes the birdsnest is my only SPS and just got that. I have two little girls and we all enjoy the movement of the LPS. :-)
