Fritz0id3937 June 16, 2015 June 16, 2015 I just fragged a bunch of sps. Should I reduce my lighting schedule for a few days to let the frags/colonies heal? If so what do other ppl normally do? Some large portions of corals that were previously shaded are now fully exposed to high light. I have a evergrow 2080 about 4in off the water over a 65gal tank, same foot print as a breeder. Thanks
Jason Rhoads June 16, 2015 June 16, 2015 I never change my light schedule and have, thus far, not seen any frag adversely impacted. The previously shaded frags should start coloring up in a week or two.
Fritz0id3937 June 16, 2015 Author June 16, 2015 My concern is some previously shaded portions are totally white, and now in direct light.
YHSublime June 17, 2015 June 17, 2015 If your concerned, just turn your lights down a bit and ramp back up again.
gmerek2 June 17, 2015 June 17, 2015 I don't do anything different with the frags. If the colony fragged is flourishing the frags will continue to do so if under same light
Fritz0id3937 June 18, 2015 Author June 18, 2015 Cool thanks for all the feedback. I am reducing my schedule for a few days, then I'll ramp back up
