tpallas April 12, 2015 April 12, 2015 Does anyone have a guide for basic settings for aquarium photography? Setting up a Nikon D40 and curious what a good starting point is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NightOwl April 12, 2015 April 12, 2015 Below are a few links I refer to from time to time.... http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_2/cav2i2/aquarium_photography/photography.htm http://www.petfishtalk.com/shows_special/photography/photography.htm http://reeftools.com/nn/how-can-i-take-good-pictures-of-my-reef-tank/ http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-11/gr/index.php http://www.ximinasphotography.com/lessons/lesson06/techniques_5.html http://www.ximinasphotography.com/lessons/lesson06/techniques_6.html Once you get past the initial set up...these are a few things to keep in mind to get great shots... A few things to get some good shots would be the following:1. Use a tripod.2. Cut off all pumps and let the tank settle for a bit before shooting otherwise you have to edit out "snow".3. Shoot in RAW if you can.4. Shot in Manual mode if trying to show a stationary object.5. Bring your ISO down to 100 or the lowest you camera can support. Hope that helps....
