chalicedude March 10, 2015 Share March 10, 2015 So I Haven't Posted much on here, But I would like to share with everyone how I changed my Cabinet and sump over while the tank was still Full. My goal was to install the Frp board down and replace sump and finish plumbing all in one day so my tank would not crash. Here is what I was dealing with to start. First I had to cut the front off using a circular saw With the front supports in my way, so I decided they needed to be removed. In order to do this though I would need to put in side support. This Next step was a little scary I just prayed they whole tank didn't fall on me. Next I rough plumbed everything to measure out how much I would need between each piece I then place the Frp board down and then placed my sump where I wanted it and started plumbing Then I placed the sides on all the exposed sides using FRP board and construction adhesive. Time for paint I applied 4 coats of kills siliconed all the cracks to make it water tight and seamless. finally Hooked up Apex and started hiding the wires And the almost finished product all i have is to secure the wavemakers and add some doors to the front

zygote2k March 10, 2015 Share March 10, 2015 FWIW, there's no need to use purple primer on tank builds. Use the red can PVC cement- it dries clear.
