Starting my new 70 cadlights

Guys I have ordered my new 70 gallon. So I need your advice on sand and live dry rock? Any suggestions on brand and where I can purchase some good rock at a great price? I was thinking of ordering Rock from BRS? Any suggestions please???

I started all my tanks with mostly base rock from reefrocks.net and some live rock from someone selling on the local forums. Never had phosphate issues with the reefrocks.

I ordered alot from marcorocks.com got free sand, and then used some of my live rock and sand from a current tank I had running.... You could get some sand from a member if you don't currently have a tank set-up..."

Thanks for the suggestion! I will def see if I can get some sand from a member once I get my tank in! It's being built from cadlights should be here in jan can't wait! For a 70 gallon hoe much sand do u think I'll need in pounds? I have always used pink Fiji but noticed it moves a lot with the mp40 on

It's personal preference how deep you want it...

I have between 2-3 inches in my 150g...

So it's about 75 lbs I think? It was 2 bags from marcorocks and most of everything out of my 50g..(35lbs I think?)

I went with dry rock from BRS.  Had some pest issues in my tank beforehand so I didn't want to take that chance.
