digitate hydroids removal

Ugh. What an eyesore. I had them for months. Then I think at least my melanarus wrasse decided jellyfish taste good and decimated the population. He ate something that made him bellyache and spit up food for a few days and then died. Maybe he shouldn't have eaten them.

 

I see one in the sump or display every now and again, but the population seems to be self regulating now. Most of the advice I found basically said they would eventually starve themselves out.

Every few days I'll suck the ones up that are on the sand bed but as for the ones in and on the rock don't know what to do..tried hot RODI water and it dident do much cus they keep spreading..I've read they go away for some and other said they had to strip the rock down witch I'm not trying to do..guess will see what happens

Update for hydroids..not sure if getting a scorer blenny helped but I don't see but a few hear and there since I purchased him over a month ago....In my opinion he helped my hydroid problem disappear fyi
