Ghost overflow alternative

I had a custom overflow made from Modular Marine and I absolutely love it.  The quality is great. The price was reasonable and the order was filed quickly.   I am cycling my tank now and do not have the skimmer running yet but this overflow plumbed as a Bean Animal is dead silent.

 

Hi, how is this custom overflow working out for you? Any updates?

I have one of the ebay units and while it has only been in the tank for two or three weeks, it has been sitting in the house for over a year. I cant imagine how it would warp but I guess time will tell. As for the function, it has been absolutely fantastic! If I had to do it over again, I'd have the external box made a bit longer to better accommodate the beananimal but it performs flawlessly. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to others.
