Does any body have any live sand or live rock they want to give away or sale. I only need a little to start my cycle. I just set up a new salt water tank and want to start the cycle process.

I live in Centreville, VA and wouldn't mind paying $3/lbs but is the rock ready to go into my tank I'm doing a fish only tank so I only want a couple of nice pieces with holes in them for my tank. Do what you can to show up at the meeting... There are generally a few baggies of 'Free' sand that people bring to help out other systems. Well, atleast there were in the past. Also, there will be a couple of vendors that will bring the rock to the meeting if you order it from them. (Dr. Mac for example).

Charles,

 

Bring samples of your tank water (as it is righ now, before doing a water change) and of your fresh water (the one you are using for evaporation top off and salt water mix). Put it in plastic contaires or bottles and we will test it.
