Annap729 August 31, 2014 August 31, 2014 So my 24 stand has water damage where the tank meets the stand. Im trying to avoid fabricating a new one. a quick google search didn't yield any results. Anyone have an idea where I might be able to find one?
MrSexyShrimp August 31, 2014 August 31, 2014 Pics of water damage? How extensive? Maybe it can be repaired. Guessing its MDF..
smallreef August 31, 2014 August 31, 2014 I've never seen them sell a separate new top... I would just order a piece of acrylic...to whatever color the stand is and set it ontop...or liquid nails it ontop of the damaged piece...
smallreef August 31, 2014 August 31, 2014 Lots of dealers online,,,but locally Artfully Acrylic may be ale to do a piece for you easily....
Annap729 September 1, 2014 Author September 1, 2014 Maritime Plastics in Annapolis might, but I thought they closed. I'll give it a shot! Thanks for the info.
tchun September 13, 2014 September 13, 2014 Hey. I have a JBJ28 lid sitting around that I removed. The 150W halide is out but everything else works. Got the ballast that goes with it too. If it fits I can sell it to you if you still need it.
Annap729 September 13, 2014 Author September 13, 2014 I'm actually talking about the top of the stand that the tank sits on.
Keraxis September 17, 2014 September 17, 2014 You should show a picture. You might be able to separate it and replace with a new piece of wood which you could paint to match. One of the acrylic guys could make you a piece to fit. You may be able to buff and repaint. You could even do a rubberized finish with platidip. Lots of options but a picture would help alot. Also.... picture of the tank... people love to see where your at.
