This is something I have not seen before with pipefish.  The copperband seeks out this pipefish and they stay together while the pipefish inspects and eats irritations or maybe parasites that I can't see off the copperband.
They have been together for 15 minutes so far and the copperband seems to be smiling.  The multibanded pipefish is to large to get inside his gills but he finds some bits of food on his skin.

Go to the pipe cleaner store and get some.  I may go back and get the other 3 the store has

I've always thought about adding them into my tank, but isn't it true they don't care much for the high flow?

I never discussed it with them and I do have high flow in my tank.  I also heard they don't like UG filters but they don't seem to mind.  What they do need is a lot of new born brine shrimp and pods for dessert.
