Used Apex Controller setup question

I am installing a used Apex on my tank and wanted to know if there is anything I need to do on the controller before I install it like reset or erase the settings.  I currently have an apex lite in the system but replacing it with the full Apex.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would back up all your config files on your hard drive, and write down all your network settings before you erase it all.

Not 100% on this, bit this makes sense to me.

If you got another EB8 when you bought the full apex, I would plug those in separate the same way as running lite is and into you computer with cable and do all the programming you want on the new unit copying your lites configuration including network info. Once that is done unplug lite and unplug new apex from new EB8 and plug in new Apex into same port on old EB8.

Just my best guess.

Back up your configuration on your lite and import it into the apex.

I would check the neptune support site. I was ready a post the other day of someone doing this same thing and they had some issues. I think they eventually had to reset all the outlets.
