co2 regulators

What brand?  plug it in, see if it has a light.  You probably are going to have to connect it to a tank.

scott it is a milwaukee co2 with 2 gauges and a glass bubble counter.

plug the solenoid in and you should hear a little click or pop.  Unplug and you'll hear it again.  Do that a bunch of times to make sure the solenoid is working reliably.  The light isn't quite as accurate.  The solenoids are the biggest failure point as the pin can get corroded and not move reliably.  If that's the case, chances are you'll just want to buy a new one.  Repairing the solenoid is a pain because spare internal parts are hard to get.
