Jason Rhoads February 1, 2014 Share February 1, 2014 if you want to go cheap, get a clip light from Home Depot and a CFL bulb.

TheyCallMeMr.703 February 1, 2014 Share February 1, 2014 (edited) Any type of clamp light fixture will work. I'd put in a Freshwater Plant CFL, they're only like $10 and would allow the cheato to flourish... all together, cheaper possibly then just a PAR. LED Bulb. Either or, just remember, plants thrive under a different spectrum then corals, so if you go PAR Bulb route, get the appropriate bulb for best results. GL and Have Fun.lol But Clamps, from HomeDepot,Lowes,Petsmart,Petco,etc.. Get one that will work for your installation needs. wangspeed February 1, 2014 Share February 1, 2014 My vote is something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-10W-20W-30W-50W-Blue-554nm-Red-660nm-Hydroponic-Plant-Flood-LED-Grow-Lights-/230950111502?pt=US_Hydroponics&var=530130136527&hash=item35c5b3090e Or a PAR38 LED. If you want to do it on the cheap, you can go with the CFL and home depot clip on option.

wangspeed February 1, 2014 Share February 1, 2014 Remember, red light tends to be more effective at algae growth. A specialized grow light may have a little blue in it too. -- Warren

kjamaya February 1, 2014 Share February 1, 2014 I use a clamp light from HD and a cf light. I make sure my algae is somewhat tumbling or good flow and opposite light.
