pizzaguy December 9, 2013 December 9, 2013 I've had a orange Fungia for about 6 months. Very healthy, tentacles always out. For 2 days now at night when the lights start to dim this thing blows up twice its normal size like a big puff ball. I've never seen it do this before. Is this bad, a sign, anyone else. I've never seen anything like it before. It swells so big that its tentacles dissapear.
SpideyFish December 9, 2013 December 9, 2013 Puffing up like a balloon? They can do that to attempt to relocate themselves.
08can-am December 9, 2013 December 9, 2013 I feel like mine do this also. Jusy assumed it had to do with eating courtesy of my sweet S4
sachabballi reef December 9, 2013 December 9, 2013 (edited) no its good..hes happy... they can swell to over two times their normal size....make sure you feed it a few times a week and mine grow fast.. if they want to when they are puffed up they can move themselves....just an fyi in case you see it in a different place...you aren't crazy...well, at least when it comes to this situation... but its not the reason they puff up...one if mine is like that 24/7...the other only does it at night. sen5241b December 9, 2013 December 9, 2013 Seen them puff up too (filling with water). It does mean they are healthy. A Fiji Blue Devil killed the two I had.
