Swabbie on a controller

Is there any issue with running your Swabbie on a controller?  I'd like to have it spin 4-5 times a day for a minute instead of continuous spinning.  Will this cause too much wear and tear on the motor?

hey steve, that is how it is suggested to be used. the mention it in their description on their site as well: "Simply plug the Swabbie into a timer (not included) or aquarium controller and set it to run for a few minutes 4 to 6 times per day. "

Here is my code for the Swabbie outlet. It runs 1 minute every 4 hours starting at midnight.
