Oprah Wrangler November 4, 2013 November 4, 2013 So I built an aquarium stand but I don't want to cover it in wood. I am looking for ideas for draping the stand in fabric. If you can post pictures that would be helpful. Otherwise, all advice is welcome. Thanks, Andre
smallreef November 5, 2013 November 5, 2013 Draping? I'd say your best best it to use a thick home decorator fabric...have someone good sew a nice hem and either Velcro or use a curtain rail so you can open it....

BowieReefer84 November 5, 2013 November 5, 2013 I covered my old tanks stand with 3M vinyl wrap. You could sew magnets into a thick fabric and do the same sort of thing. 20120904_210106 by mteske1, on Flickr 20120902_162853 by mteske1, on Flickr 20120902_164144 by mteske1, on Flickr stand skin by mteske1, on Flickr 20120902_164733 by mteske1, on Flickr 20120902_164804 by mteske1, on Flickr

Are you worried about noise at all or is this just to cover? my tank is really quiet. i am not worried about the sounds I do hear when I am in the basement watching TV. For aesthetics ( the wife ) I want to put a drape around it to hide the equipment and give it a more finished appearance.
