One of my Mexican turbos died :( idk why maybe I didn't have enough algae to feed it. But that's not my point.

As I was getting ready to remove the dead snail I saw this and pulled my hand out as it was eating the dead snail. It never ends it looks about 5-8 inches I can't tell but it's huge. I can't get a good pic its at the base of the shell. And the 2nd pic it's in the center of the Kenya's. is it a bristleworm ? Is it bad ? I can remove it by letting it get inside the shell and pull the whole shell out if its bad.

hard to tell from the pictures, but looks like a bristleworm. I think they are part of a healthy tank, some disagree. Let it be.

looks like a bristleworm. They are great addition to the cleanup crew.  They clean up and eat things the fish dont eat.

If its not bad ill let it be even tho it creeps me out looks like a octopus tentacle. I know I'm gonna wake up with it on my face one day cus I sleep next to the tank lol

It scared the heck out of me. And my wife has this lovely habit of watching while my arms in there and screams this is the 2nd time she screamed a random creature name and gave me a heart attack lmao. The first time was a huge brittle star she screamed SPIDER!!! And just now she screamed OCTOPUS!!! The woman's trying to kill me I just know it lol

Now to figure out why the snail died. Nitrate? My nitrates under 20. Or it died of starvation because theirs no algae. My ammonia and nitrites are 0. The rest of the snails are fine. Guess it just happens.

yup thats nature. When I change out my GFO and less algae is available, sometimes I will find a dead snail.

Can I feed them those seaweed sheets you clip on? I don't want them all dying its sad.

Yes, my turbos head right for the clips when I put it seaweed in. Sometimes I think they take more than the fish.

I think the super large turbos are old. My huge dude lasted 6-8 months in my tank.

Yes! Use a clip (or a few) and/or rubberband it to a rock.

Lol cool thanks. Yeah I only had the huge turbo a week. He's gone. Smaller ones seem fine.
