Does anyone know if there is a kit or instructions on converting a CS1 Recirculating Skimmer to an external skimmer?

Uniseals in the bottom are going to be difficult to make watertight.

Ask Brandon (jason the filter freak) how he did his.

Right. Seems like you will need three bulkheads for the bottom uniseals and then either have a groove for a large oring cut into the bottom plate or glue it together. You would also need to glue the pvc pipe instead of just pressure fitting it together. I will really like the flexibility of having it in sump because every bit of it just pulls apart for cleaning.

Thanks all for your input.

The uniseals are watertight so don't worry about those.

Glue base and flange as well as all the piping.

The input nipple can be tapped to 1/2" npt and use a threaded fitting.

The threaded studs that hold the bubble chamber need to be sealed and glue the bubble chamber instead.

Switch out out gate valve with a standard one.
