Skimmer oveflowing? why?

any clue why? after turning on the skimmer, it bubbles up but then after a day or 2, it'll start overflowing.

 

any iead?

is this a new skimmer? A new problem or all of a sudden? Is it broken in?

its a brand new skimmer. been running for 2 weeks. just started overflowing the second week, seems like a more now.

the water level is about 9in, which is the recommended depth

I would put it at 6"-7" and make sure water exiting is not submerged. Keep the valve open and slowly close it over the course of a few days or more to dial it in. 9" sounds like it is on the highside for depth imo.

i wonder if it is still breaking in and not adjusted yet?

I'd say to raise it up a few inches in the sump and see if that works. Many of the popular internal skimmers seem to run best at 5"-8" of water contrary to manufacturers suggestion.
