Compared to most things we dose i consider LC the one with the least

side effects .

If you use a 1 micron bag you have zero chance of any type of issue

seems pretty simple.

For SPS it appears way safer then anything i add to my tank with clams

just dont dump the stuff in your tank get the 1 micron bags......simple

I have had CH OVERDOSES/CARBON ISSUES and a 2PART overdose

over the years these things have caused tank crashes or red slime partys

LC is no different then anything else........be careful

I am still dosing. Did nothing since the last dose until yesterday.

Starting level was .38. Dosed 4ml. Reading this morning was .22.

Dosing another 4ml today. I am going to continue to dose daily until I stop seeing phosphate reduction.

My understanding is that the lower the phosphate level the less effective the LC so I might switch to GFO soon, however dosing LC is easier and cheaper so not sure what I will do long term.

One way to use it is find a dose that keeps it at .06 or so and keep adding

it on a regular basis once you are sure it has stabilized at that dose you add GFO.

So you would keep adding lc and use gfo to get under .03.

Some people have been able to keep levels under .03 with just LC every tank is different.

I declare LC dosing a success!!

In three weeks I've lowered my phosphates from .48 to .10.

This past week I dosed 8ml on Thursday and 8ml on Saturday. I will probably continue dosing until I stop seeing a positive effect, and I expect that to be soon.

Now that I am down into the reasonable range I will continue to include additional measures to get into the sweet spot and maintain. I started dosing vinegar a week ago and am hoping that will help to lower nitrates and phosphates a little.

Plus looking at my log of water changes I am changing about 12% of my water every 17 days which is NOT enough.

Going to try and do 40% every two weeks.
