Ok over the last week I noticed majority of my zoas and my tree have bern closed like theirs a neighborhood beef going on. I checked my levels and nitrite is 0ppm, ammonia is 0ppm, my nitrate was surprisingly as low as its been since the tank cycled at 20ppm, now my pH was low about 7.8-8.0. I moved some to my bigger tank and a few frags are opening. What are your thoughts?post-2633469-13679588422_thumb.jpgpost-2633469-136795889033_thumb.jpgpost-2633469-136795890519_thumb.jpgpost-2633469-136795892582_thumb.jpgpost-2633469-136795893971_thumb.jpgpost-2633469-13679589726_thumb.jpg

If it were me, then I'd replace my carbon and do a >20% water change.

There may be some chemical warfare going on.

Also..have you changed your light schedule...these 'corals' prefer less intense light for the most part...also if your water is too clean they will be upset....

I was thinking that maybe the nitrate reduction may have been the issue but I will do a 20% and change the carbon as well, thanks fam

Any big changes? Light cycle, new additions, different foods?

I wish I knew the answer. I have a ton of zoa frags and recently the only ones doing the same thing to me are of course the most expensive ones. Brk darth mauls, rastas, and purple hornets. But the other 20 kinds are doing great. I will tag along on this one to see if there is a logical explanation.

No not really, I added a Watchmen Goby but he's been in for at least 3 wks before the zoas closed shop

If you recently acquired any of new polyps, check any that aren't opening well for hitchhikers There are some snails that can demolish polyps that might have come in. They are fairly easy to see, but do be careful handling the corals.

I've noticed my purple shrooms have white like worms around them, I'll try to get a pick, and I'll look for snails, my Blue legged's would harass the zoas too, might that be it?
