kevin March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 I had bought stuffs from BRS and everything were fine, except for the review of the Korallen-Zucht Speed Glue that I bought and tried to re-aquascape. The product is useless! It claimed to be used in and out of water! So I took the rocks out, let them dried then used this cement to attach the rocks, let them dried for over 2 hrs, when I put the rock in the water, the cement came off! And I did not have any flow in my tank. I put the review twice on BRS but BRS never posted my reviews. So I guess only the positive reviews are allowed to post! That is not fair for consumers as most of us do not know all if the products are good or bad. I am totally disappointed as how BRS handle the reviews of its products.
nbgen12 March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 BRS is great for certain things like dosing pumps, RODI equipment, carbon/gfo, and dosing powders. Other than those specific things, they've made me a little sour once or twice and I can't say I would be totally shocked. I would definitely be 100% sure they deleted it. Then I would repost the review. If they do it again, I would definitely send them a scathing email and call them out on misleading their loyal customers. Sent from my MB865 using Tapatalk 2
howaboutme March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 Wow, thanks for this post. This is good to know, if it's true. I always read reviews w/ a grain of salt and usually only search for moderate/bad reviews. I don't need to know it "works great". If there aren't any, then I start to wonder.
sachabballi reef March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 (edited) Use the cement from Marco rocks you don't need as much as they say they say you do and its phenomenal. It sets up instantly Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 Edited March 27, 2013 by sachabballi reef

kevin March 27, 2013 Author March 27, 2013 Thanks. I sent BRS an email this morning and waiting for them to respond. If I never get a reply from them, then I guess they ignore the issue and only like to post the positive reviews instead of the real experienced reviews from consumers.
monkiboy March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 that's curious and i'm interested in the response. i've only had positive experiences with BRS and working through any issues even at their great expense. please post up when they reply. thank you for being level-headed about this.

kevin March 27, 2013 Author March 27, 2013 I sure will post the reply once I get it from BRS. So far, no respond yet, but I will wait till tomorrow so that they have time to read and respond. I did tried to post my review this morning for the 3rd time. 1st review of the product was 2 days ago, 2nd review was yesterday and 3rd this morning. When I checked back the product, it still reads "be the first to review"! So my negative reviews of this product were removed, i guess.
newtoreef March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 I just got an email from BRS to post reviews on the items i purchased last week. I am happy with everything I got but not posting a bad review that mess up. Customers should know the good and bad ones. Keep us posted.
howaboutme March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 What's their usual turn around time for reviews? I've only made 1 review and it didn't instantly show up. I think it was a few days but I'm not sure since I didn't go back to check it that often. Could it be that they haven't "accepted" it yet?
monkiboy March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 oh wow. yeah i would give it a week or two to get up there. they don't approve and post instantly as they have to read all of them. i didn't realize you had only given a few days between postings. hopefully you're not one of those folks that has three negative reviews that say the same thing for one product on there and they catch that. redundant reviews are also ineffective.
kevin March 27, 2013 Author March 27, 2013 I posted the review and it said accepted, but a day later no post! So how long should you wait for a review to be posted? It should not be weeks. I read some reviews and it was posted a day before so my first review was 2 days already! I am happy with most of the stuffs I ordered from BRS, but it should be fair that consumers have the right to post negative reviews to the products that aren't to what they claimed to be.
monkiboy March 27, 2013 March 27, 2013 (edited) when you submit it says "your review has been accepted for moderation." this moderation can take anywhere from 1-8 days. ryan has to go through each one manually and check for spam, dead links, etc. he does this at least once a week but it's in his free time. i assure the bad reviews are just as important as the good ones for BRS for myriad of business reasons. just hang in there and try to be patient - your negative review will be up there any day now and hopefully not redundant to your previous attempts. kevin March 28, 2013 Author March 28, 2013 Ok, I just got a respond from Lue of BRS. He said that it would take some time for post to show up regardless of good or bad reviews. I have nothing to against BRS and will continue to order from it, just don't want others to order something that might not be as good as it claimed to be.
