How long do you run your fuge lighting

the theory behind running the fuge lights opposite the DT lights is to keep the pH stable when photosynthesis in the DT stops due to nightfall. this theory is sound providing you have a large enough fuge with enough algae in more or less equal amounts compared to the coral in the DT. for those of you with DTs that are 10 times bigger than the fuge, run the lights whenever you want because it won't make a dent in the pH.

I have always run opposite. With big fuges (like 90 gallon on a 180), I would see a big pH effect. Now I am running about 20 gallons of chaeto on a 150, and I just leave the light on all the time.
