cbashaw December 28, 2012 December 28, 2012 It's been a while since I've been in the loop, and lighting seems to have changed a lot. I have a 16Gbowfront tank and am looking for inexpensive lighting so I can keep some low soft corals. I'm wondering if the Corallife t5 with 2 bulbs, will be enough. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+13822+23590&pcatid=23590 I also saw Odyssea has a t5 light with 4 bulbs but so cheap that it sounds too good to be true... http://www.aquatraders.com/20-inch-4x18W-T5-Aquarium-Light-Fixture-p/52302.htm Any other suggestions? I'm trying to stay under 100 if I can.
Jim December 28, 2012 December 28, 2012 I think your tank and budget is perfect for a PAR LED bulb. Check these out: http://www.rapidled.com/par-bulbs/
jimlin December 28, 2012 December 28, 2012 i would go with either the par mentioned my jim or the skkye light sold by quantum reefs.
Orion December 28, 2012 December 28, 2012 Might even be good with a Par30 from www.boostled.com Par values are listed on their website
AlanM December 28, 2012 December 28, 2012 This one looks nice, cheap too. The folks over at nano-reef.com like it. http://www.ledtric.com/led-components/ledtric-par38-full-spectrum-18w-reeflamp/
AlanM December 28, 2012 December 28, 2012 coupon code for ledtric from nano-reef. IAMNR gives $10 off.
cbashaw December 28, 2012 Author December 28, 2012 Thanks for the tips, I didn't realise that LED's were in my budget. Now all I have to do is figure out how I want to hang it
