kjamaya December 20, 2012 Share December 20, 2012 I bought a Midas Blenny 2 days ago and was skeptical if in fact it was, as the blenny was stressed.... Yesterday I was feeding my fishes and the blenny swam out ate and was swimming around. She did have some yellow but she also had a black line from right below her dorsal fin, the middle of her body is light pinkish/reddish with some black marking and the bottom of her tail is black.... I am assuming that not all Midas Blennies are the same but I haven't seen this color variation before. What you think? I will post photos later tonight. Submit your photos for comparison. Thanks, Kristin

Reloadeddevil December 21, 2012 Share December 21, 2012 They do change their color temp if they are stressed or still adjusting to your tank. I've had the midas blenny for 1 year. It did the same color scheme that you mentioned.

rocko918 December 21, 2012 Share December 21, 2012 I think the color is different based on which part of the world it came from.

smallreef December 21, 2012 Share December 21, 2012 Yep its a true midas... plus she looks young... they tend to develop 'heavier' colors as they get older... less opaque looking...
