Jan October 31, 2012 Share October 31, 2012 I just went downstairs to check doors, etc and noticed all my fish out swimming around eating. The tank has had lights off since about 9pm. The only lights on are moonlights. As I got closer I noticed they were all picking at something. I turned lights on and saw very very tiny red something swimming around. Too small to see with a magnifying glass. Then the fish stopped picking. I turned lights off and about 10 minutes later all the fish were at the top of the tank under the moonlights picking at something again. What the heck hatched? Could it have been peppermint shrimp? It was reddish. So is it the time of year, what? The yellow chromis is at it again clearing off sections of the gorgonia to lay more eggs. The neon gobies are acting like birds. There's alway one in a hole in one of the rocks. A nest? The tank smells like the ocean in late August. Sweet seabreeze.
