What computer do I need.

So I'm a mac person. But all the ecotech / controller software is only made to run on PC's, so I am planning on buying a small PC to use just to run my tank.

 

Anyone using ecotech radions have any insight into what specs I should get or will any new laptop do the job?

i have a small netbook that i use for my MP40's. no need to spend a ton of money when you can get one of those for $200.

I assume the requirement is Internet Exploder. How about using Parallels and running a Windows virtual machine on the Mac?

+1 to what Dave said. Don't buy another computer, just go and get Parallels or Fusion and then install Windows. You'll be able to control whatever you want from there.

I'm in the don't buy another computer camp. You can run it in VirtualBox or use BootCamp to setup a windows partition.

can someone explain this in dummy terms. Not sure how to do it, but since i have a mac too, i would rather just do it on my imac and not have to use the net book.

VMWare is good. VirtualBox is free.

Well my mac is my work computer so I don't really want to use it for tank stuff.

 

I think Ill try the netbook idea.
