jacksammoms-tank October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 I bought a rock of them. They are not staying on the rock. So how do get rid of them safely? I do not want to move them to my new tank!! Anyone want to trade a rock of green palys for something? Thanks, Toni and Jack, who really HATES them
Ryan S October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 Remember they are very poisonous as well. I would toss the rock in the trash myself. Or trade it away if you can find someone.
smallreef October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 Im not going to be back here until the 13th, but id take it and give you 2 pieces of rock in return? (are you setting up the tank in the next week or so though?)
jacksammoms-tank October 4, 2012 Author October 4, 2012 Can you kill them lone volunteers? IF so, how?
ToddR October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 I had them on a rock of magician palys and used tweezers to manually remove them. Make sure you wear gloves and eye protection.
jaddc October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 tweezers and blade should do the trick. It is safest to work with them under water. The toxin (if there is any present) gets instantly diluted and lessens the chance of poisoning.
jacksammoms-tank October 5, 2012 Author October 5, 2012 I need the rock gone asap so sorry smallreef, Kim Right?
Jan October 6, 2012 October 6, 2012 I take a pair of bone cutters, don a pair of gloves and goggles cut them off the base taking some rock with them.
