BowieReefer84 September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 I have a pair of 6095 pumps hooked up to the 7092. Anyone know the easiest way to get a wave, or should I just focus on chaotic flow? It's hard to tell what changes are made when I press the buttons and turn the knobs.
Anthworks September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 What worked for me was to use the pulse feature. The constant pulse created a wave motion.
six-line September 28, 2012 September 28, 2012 Bowiereefer Once you figure out the secret let me know I've been trying to get mine to do the wave for months. I have the pluse mode running now but it's nothing like what a wave would be. Thanks.

The waterline is close to the top of my tank, and a wave would wreck havoc for me. I actually took out the 24v jumpers and put in the 15v and 22v respectively. I am very surprised how much water these 6095 pumps push, and with the return it's way more than I need. I didn't bother posting on RC, but may still do so just so I know how to configure this thing. The directions are garbage in about 6 different languages.
zygote2k September 29, 2012 September 29, 2012 easy- buy an MP40. I ran a tank with 2 lg and 3 sm Tunzes and a controller for a year. Much better flow and wave creations with 2 MP40's.

MP40s are loud and annoying. Plus, not everyone has 1K lying around for 2 of them. Tunzes are much quieter and give many more options for flow since they are directional. If you give Roger the size of your tank and which pumps you have, he can tell you where to put them and what setting will give you the flow you want. Edited September 29, 2012 by steveoutlaw

PASS. Had an MP10, and not interested in the supercharger sound in the background. Also, I find it VERY hard to believe you couldn't match the flow of 5 tunzes to 2 MP40's. Sounds like user error. The two 6095's are more than enough for a tank my size, and MUCH less $$$. And QUIET!

Personally I have had both and currently have 2 MP10s. They are don't make much noise if you set them up right and break them in. You don't even know they are on.
