How far do the 6095's push? I am thinking about getting a pair of them over the 6105's for a 120ish gal tank.

I like the much smaller footprint, and think 2 would be good. They advertise flow up to 2,500/gph.

Tank will be very open aquascape if that matters.

Thanks.

I would post a question for Roger in the Tunze forum on RC. I have 2 6095s that I'm going to use in my 5 foot tank. I asked Roger what the best configuration woule be and he told me the 6095s. I had a 6105 in my 3x3 cube and I had to tune it way back.

Thanks. I posted over there as well.

My tank is 55" so less than 5', and the cost savings and size difference really has me wanting the 6095's.

I read about a lot of people turning the 6105's way down as well in tanks larger than what I will have.

Dont have a 6095, but I wanted to just comment on recent service from Roger at Tunze USA.

After sending my unit in and coming back and then back to him, cause what he though was the problem was not. In the end, my motor block on my 6055 was failing and the power supply being 4 years old would probably fail soon. Roger quoted me that for $125 I could get a replacement motor block and power supply. This week I got my delivery and to my surprise, it was a brand new 6055 (everything in the box). Wow, a brand new 6055 for $125. Way to Go TUNZE! Cant go wrong with them, excellent customer support, even way beyond any warranty period.

Roger is awesome to deal with.

When I was determining what tank to go with I talked to Roger from the start. He said that the perfect combination for me would be 2 6095s and a wavebox. I already have 2 6055s and his response was that I could create one H-E-double hockey sticks of a random flow, but for a mixed reef would probably have to turn them down a little bit. I'm going to see how the 6095s do by themselves and decide if the 6055s are even needed.

I'm wondering if I could even put the 6095's on the back wall since they supposedly have really wide flow characteristics...

I plan on going bare bottom with the 6095's on each side and a couple of the much smaller ones on the back near the bottom aimed down keeping the detritus from settling. Should work out well fingers crossed.

Roger is one of the truly good people in the hobby. I don't think there is a single person I've ever met who is as accomodating and supportive of his products as he is (to a fault IMO).

Agreed. Unfortunately too many people have been trying to take advantage of that. Sad.
