OldReefer March 8, 2012 March 8, 2012 I shoot for around 160 with my Hannah tester. I find Salifert is consistently tests just a couple tenths of a dkh higher than the Hannah. I am happy to use Hannah as my new baseline. I love the accuracy and repeatablity, expecially when I am fine-tuning my dosing. I have been running pellets for a long time and vodka before that. I have let things creep up to 11 dkh without any burning. Bumping that 6.8 dkh level up a little might give you some peace-of-mind without much risk of tip-burning..
Max Ivers March 8, 2012 March 8, 2012 Yeah I have let mine go up to 8.06dKH (after -18% adjustment) and now things are doing really well. I was saying that when mine was supposed to be 6.8 but really was 5.9 I was having issues. I'm going to mix up some solution to see once and for all where I am at. Gotta love having access to MCPS lab equipment such as digital pipettes that go up to 1L in increments of .01ml and all the digital scales and glassware I can break by accident and not worry about. I'll report my results when I finish.
