tightline February 3, 2012 February 3, 2012 ok havent had lps before a month or so ago look at tank this morning and my hammer has an extra LONG tenical is this normal?
Coral Hind February 3, 2012 February 3, 2012 Yes, that is normal. They will send out a longer tentacle at night to sweep around and make sure no other coral is moving in on it's little spot on the reef.
wvreef February 3, 2012 February 3, 2012 yes that is normal...mine do it all the time.....cool to watch them sweep for other corals in there area
extreme_tooth_decay February 3, 2012 February 3, 2012 It's called a sweeper tentacle. It could probably snag a roach if there was one floating in the tank.
Glenn February 3, 2012 February 3, 2012 My hammer and torches all do that. One torch has some extremely long sweepers .. the luminesence under the actics is awesome
