My 37G Oceanic Build

Nice!! I just picked up some purple plasma from the Marine Scene the other week. I don't know why this coral isn't hyped more than it is. It has to be the best acro out there, and not too unreasonably priced.

I just noticed you're getting a system from Jeff...can't recommend him more. I've never seen his skimmers in action but all the reviews seem to indicate that it's a design that works very well. His sumps are works of art.

Hey, I did have one request for you....talk me into buying a Radion.....how's your growth looking?

Tom , thanks I agree about the purple plasma, one day in the tank and it just pops already. I'm really excited about the sump, skimmer and Fuge coming from Jeff -- just wish it could be sooner but I'm sure it will be worth the wait. As far as the Radion goes ---do it!!! I'm so happy with the growth I am getting and the colors are starting to pop and I'm only running up to 65%. Each time I move it up it just keeps getting better. This fall when the tank upgrades to the rimless. 33x23x22. I can't wait to have 2 over that span and see the growth.

I got a call from Jeff at Life Reef that he had a cancellation and that my sump is shipping out early as in now instead of May. I spent the weekend getting ready. Here is a update of the progress to date. This should almost double my water volume. Adding about 26 gallons. Im really excited as this will really clean up the DT as well..

I will be doing a leak test hopefully this weekend. Then I am going to plumb into the cabinet and get the sump and refugium filled with correct temp and parameters and let the fun begin. I am really excited to switch out the HOB Refugium as I have had issues with it breaking the siphon. This filter box is supposed to be very fail safe from all I have researched so that will be a nice peace of mind. Will give a review after its up for awhile of this and the whole set up. I got a CLF1 Sump with Mag 12 return, SVS2-24 Skimmer 9.5 mag running it, Nano Prefilter & overflow box, 20 x 12 x 18 custome refugium with Coral life 20" light. Should add about 26 gallons when done. I am also waiting on the 2LF 150 to start running GFO. I am hoping this will slide into the 3" cylinder rack in the sump as well.

Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing how that skimmmer works out for you. It gets great reviews. Its nice that he was able to get it out to you so quick.

Tom the skimmer works very well. Took a little time to dial in but seems on track now. It pulls much more than my aquamaxx HOB-1 ever did. Already I don't have near the nutrients in the tank as my glass cleaning is way down. I bought a 2lf reactor to run gfo but I'm going to hold off on installing and see how it goes. I was hoping it would fit in the life reef cylinder holders but no such luck. I may get his cylinders to run carbon down the road but I'm going to wait as if it's not needed why run it. The only downside is with the new pumps in the sump my temperature has jumped up so I'm going to plumb in my chiller that I've got from my last tank this week. Very happy with this system from Life Reef I'll try to post some pictures of the finished set up too.

Looking great Ted. Are you going in on this ORA group buy? Meant to catch up with you at the meeting but had to run out to give a hand to a friend in Arlington.
