Sea Swirl Question

I recently picked up a 1/2 sea swirl. Do i need to have water running through it for the motor to work? Also can i limit the turning radius on the unit. I got it used, so there are no directions..

I don't think you need to run water through it for it to work. If it is like mine(3/4 model) you cannot change the rotation degree. You should be able to adjust the outlet how you want it to spray.
