Swimboy123 September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 Really? No one else has had a clown lay eggs before? Give this man some help!
dbartco September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 let them become food for the others- this batch you will have to or give them to another breeder that may want to raise them or 1 - read wilkerson's "clownfishes" 2 - go to mofib.com and read some breeding logs 3 - decide if the time and effort are worth it Whatever you decide, be proud that you are providing a suitable environment and food for your clowns to breed. dbartco September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 I feel like I just squashed all replies and hope for that matter with my post. I really didn't mean to. Was just tying to keep it short and sweet. Greenwater, rotifers, baby brine shrimp, and ground feedings all take a bit of time and effort. I would encourage everyone in the hobby to give it a shot. I learned a ton, and had a great time. Was as addicting as reefbuilding itself. And if I can do it, anyone can.

GraffitiSpotCorals September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 There is tons of info online that will guide you through it. Where did they lay their eggs at? Its best if they lay them on something you can move easily so when you see their eyes turn silver (not sure if all clown eggs do the same thing though) you can pull the rock or whatever the eggs are on and put it in a seperate tank to try and raise them after they hatch. Coral Hind September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 I agree with dbartco, let this one go and prepare for the next. Now that you know they are laying you can get everything ready for when it happens again next month.
