trockafella September 13, 2011 Share September 13, 2011 Why do you keep the temp that high? With led lighting it shouldnt be that high, isnt that a big perk of them?
gws3 September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 have you had any alk or temp swings. those first two corals look stressed, but not bleached. any other changes? i wouldn't change your feeding regimen, sps won't go from healthy to starving in two weeks. Reefoholic September 17, 2011 Author Share September 17, 2011 My temp swing is at most 1 degree thru the day. I did not have any Alk swings as far as I noticed. I check my Alk daily. This pic that I just took is the same staghorn which is having problems. After adding the T5s it has more color and looks like the polyps are trying to come out. The white parts of the coral are the areas which are shaded. I realized that LEDs provide great lighting but it is not an overall coverage like MH or T5 fixtures. hypertech September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 The color of that coral will not change that fast. It just looks different under different lighting. It will take weeks or longer to see the effect on the coral itself.
