LCDRDATA July 11, 2011 July 11, 2011 (edited) Agree, very nice color. What combination of LEDs are you using for this? Edited July 11, 2011 by LCDRDATA
zygote2k July 11, 2011 Author July 11, 2011 This is Steve Outlaws' fixture that Robert Chu made for him. I picked it from him during his most recent selloff. It uses 3 seperate drivers and a combination of 18 blue and 18 white.
LCDRDATA July 11, 2011 July 11, 2011 I'm curious, because the PAR LEDs I'm probably going to be buying are resonably tailorable (two different color temperature options for both blue and white) and I've been trying to figure out what the best balance would be. Do you know what color temperature / wavelength the LEDs in that fixture are? - it seems to be a really nice blend. Thanks!
zygote2k July 11, 2011 Author July 11, 2011 Data- I have installed 12 of the P38's in a mix of colors and optics on the 90 SPS tank in the dedicated tank forum. The color on that tank is nearly the same in mine.
zygote2k July 11, 2011 Author July 11, 2011 you get rid of the cannon? yep, I couldn't resist a great deal on this light system. I still have a blue cannon though, just use it to light up the balcony instead.

zygote2k July 12, 2011 Author July 12, 2011 do you like the diy fixture better than the cannon? It's a toss up. Both have pros and cons. Cannon is waaaay cheaper.
