TonyD May 18, 2011 May 18, 2011 I'm looking into drilling a 90g tank. Does anyone have glass hole bits for a 1.25"/1.5" bulkhead and a 1" bulkhead? Let me know if you have bits for that size that I can borrow. I can pay with frags. Thanks!
Coral Hind May 18, 2011 May 18, 2011 I have one for the 1" you can have. It's drilled a few holes but still has lots of life left.
silverspringnano May 18, 2011 May 18, 2011 I have one for a 1.5" also with plenty of life you can borrow, but I'm in MD. I also need to borrow one for a 1" hole.
treesprite May 18, 2011 May 18, 2011 I have one for a 1.5 that has only ever drilled one hole, but I live in Silver Spring (Wheaton) also.
TonyD May 21, 2011 Author May 21, 2011 Thanks for the offers. With gas prices, it might be cheaper to buy them online. Anyone closeby (Ashburn, Leesburg, Sterling) that would have glass hole bits before I order from glass-holes? Size would be 1 3/4" and 2 3/8".
TonyD May 22, 2011 Author May 22, 2011 Dave and Carla, Thanks for getting the glass bit to me! You guys are awesome. Tony
treesprite May 22, 2011 May 22, 2011 Let us know how the drilling goes. Have you drilled tanks before?
TonyD May 22, 2011 Author May 22, 2011 Never. First time drilling. It went well. Next time I would put a bucket underneath the hole so that when the glass hole drops, the bucket can catch it along with all of the water.
