where do you dispose of old T5 bulbs?

got a bunch of old bulbs that i need to trash, where should they be disposed? regular trash pickup?

 

they're all in working condition, just old, so if anyone want them for testing/backup/whatever, feel free to drop by and pick up anytime

I take mine to the bin in Home Depot where they recycle the household fluorescent bulbs.

Residents of Stafford and Fredericksburg can take them to the Rappahannock landfill and recycling center at 489 Eskimo Hill Road, Stafford.

Maybe we should have a bulb recycling collection once a year, like at Frag Fest when people are more likely to attend & bring along their old bulbs. One person can then take them all to HD or wherever.. That way too, if anyone wants to try colors out, they can look through them as well.

that's a very good idea... why not make a session for this at the meets? "drop off and try out, and recycle"
