I'm very skeptical when it comes to making charitable donation to victims of natural disasters. Remember Haiti? I've heard that only a small fraction of proceeds (less than 10%) made it to the intended victims.

from what i understand this goes directly to red cross, and yes i am very skeptical of some organizations that only want to get your money but this one seemed like one of the right ones to donate to. Also stay away from religious donation sites as they deliver their porpaganda as opposed to food and blakets which is what the people really need.
