Incredible Corals November 14, 2010 November 14, 2010 My 3" female Blue Throat Trigger is swimming around like she's bottom heavy. Her stomach looks a little more full that normal and she can't stop floating around. She's been eating like a pig and looks great except for the way she's swimming now. It's almost like she has gas and its throwing off her balance. Also, all other fish are doing great. What should I do?
davelin315 November 14, 2010 November 14, 2010 Sounds like there's a bacterial or parasitic infection. Is this all the time or just when it eats? I had a clown once that was suffering from bloat due to some sort of internal infection and when it ate, it fed the bacteria or parasites and they swelled up causing it to not be able to swim properly. Can you describe more or take a picture?
Incredible Corals November 14, 2010 Author November 14, 2010 I just got home and she died. Another member mentioned her swimming blatter was probably damaged. The fish was doing so well and looked perfect from the out side. I hope she didn't suffer much.
Coral Hind November 14, 2010 November 14, 2010 Sorry to hear the bad news. It seems to have happened so fast there wasn't much time to react. I would watch the other fish closely.
