SeanH October 24, 2010 Share October 24, 2010 I have no idea whose tank this is, public or private, but I thought it was fairly cool. Anyone know where this pic was taken?
Mando77 October 24, 2010 Share October 24, 2010 It is Pieter Van Suijlekom's of the Netherlands. It is one of the largest and most extensive aquaria in private ownership. 20 ft long. There is a nice article on it in Coral Magazine "Tobies" Volume 7, Number

Has anybody ever seen a reference regarding the physical location of this famous tank?
Coral Hind October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 I don't know the exact street address but it is in the showroom of "Open Fireplace Centre," in Vlaardingen, Netherlands, on the second floor. A little over an hour drive from Amsterdam.
Chad October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 I remember reading recently that the tank is (or very recently way) in a huge rennovation and is (was) essentially being restarted. I saw pics somewhere of the new rockwork, which is way more open than the "standard wall of rock" look that is shown in the picture above, but in my 5 minutes of searching just now, I couldnt find them again. Here is a link to the article that A. Byrnes mentioned.
