Fuge question

I got my CPR Aquafuge hooked on to my JBJ Nano 28 gallon, by using a small powerhead that is only 110 GPH. My question is it doesnt seem to be pushing but a little amount of water out of the return tube from the refugium. Should i expect that since it is such a small powerhead? Thx,.

Is it a hang-on-back or under tank refugium?

Does it have a skimmer built in?

It is a hang on back type refugium. It does not have a built in skimmer. I was thinking of putting my skimmer in the refugium but i am not sure i will get the same amount of stuff out of it as the main tank?

A refugium is just that- a refuge. Slow water flow is ideal and adding a protein skimmer to a HOB fuge doesn't really do much. Adding the fuge will do more for waste removal than the skimmer on such a small tank. If you were going to use the skimmer, then you would want to increase the water flow thru the fuge, but then it wouldn't be a refuge anymore...
