overklok September 27, 2010 Share September 27, 2010 I need a little help. My AC3 is acting up, the DC8 will not power any of the plugs intermittently. The AC3 indicates all timer and temp settings are correct and they show as powered up on the AC3 status screen. After I reboot the AC3 everything starts to work. The little green light on the DC8 stays on or blinks as it is supposed to. I have switched out the RJ-11 cable that runs between the DC8 and the AC3 and the problem still occurs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

overklok September 27, 2010 Author Share September 27, 2010 If you mean between the AC3 and DC8, six feet.
ctenophore September 27, 2010 Share September 27, 2010 Is your control cable (4-wire rj-11) running parallel to any 120v AC power? I had interference when I ziptied my control cable to a length of power cord.

zygote2k September 27, 2010 Share September 27, 2010 Try another DC8. Narrow it down.
iangibby September 27, 2010 Share September 27, 2010 Also check how many conductors on the cable compaired to the ac3 pins. Normal phone cords are one pair.

mchippo September 30, 2010 Share September 30, 2010 I have had the same problem. From time to time outlets on the DC 8 appear to go bad. They start working again when I unplug the DC8 and plug it back in again. I have had to replace one DC8 in the last 5 years because outlets just stopped working...likely due to corrosion or something like that....it was in my sump room with high humidity and salt.
